Diving, the adventure that lasts a lifetime

Wreck Diving

Local diving is wreck diving. When there is no natural reef, a wreck becomes an artificial reef. Wrecks provide the basis for the food chain in places where there is no coral reef. The nooks and crannies provide protection to juvenile fish and crustaceans. As they grow, they attract larger fish, who attract even larger ones. Lobster, flounder, rays, and even turtles can be found on the wrecks along with many other creatures. The wreck is the place to be.

Maybe it is being able to catch your dinner, the thrill of discovering treasure, or just exploring a sunken ship wreck that excites you. Wrecks also provide the a window into history. Every wreck has a story to tell. By learning the story, you are almost participating in the life of the wreck. The SSI on line Wreck Diving course and your instructor will have you ready to explore the ship wrecks that lie on the bottom of the worlds oceans, rivers and lakes.
